Our Saviour's Love
Fairest Lord Jesus, to Thee do we raise
Honour and worship, throughout endless days,
Son of the Father, True God of True God,
And with Thy Spirit, Perfection in Love.
One day in Mary, in flesh did You come,
Born of a Virgin, a babe in her arms,
Holy and righteous , the Glory of Love
Onward you followed the will of your God.
Then in the Garden, the time had now come,
Son of the Father, alone in His Arms.
Not My will only, but Yours evermore,
Onward you plodded to death’s awful door.
Darkness prevails, all evil now harms.
Nailed on the cross, now alone in its arms.
My God, O My God, forsaken why me?
Such was Your pleading, in great agony.
Father, O Father, forgive was your cry.
Saviour of mercy, for us did you die!
Now - it is finished - redemption complete,
Blood flowing freely, from hands, side and feet.
Then in the morn of that beautiful day
Brightness all shone, from the stone rolled away!
Christ o’er all victorious - to glory arose!
Faith of the faithful, in Him to repose.
Suggested tune: Be Thou my Vision
