About Us
Established in 1956, the church that meets in the Bible Chapel has sought to gather together in simplicity and meet according to the standards and principles of God’s Word. We desire to provide a friendly and warm atmosphere for the spiritual development of all God’s children.
We welcome every Christian! The Bible says there is but one undivided Church encompassing all time and space, that being the body of Christ, so we consider members of that Church to be members of this church. If you are a member of the body of Christ, you are already a part of us as we are a part of you; therefore, we invite you to join us as we gather together at the Lord’s Table for that special time of remembrance and communion. It is the Lord’s Table and He is the One who judges our hearts.
We place great value on families, and the moral and spiritual development of all young people. We provide a Sunday School for children of all ages. We also provide a nursery for small children and infants.
You and your family are cordially invited to attend our services. They are conducted in a reverent and orderly fashion.
What we believe
Trinity - We believe in one God1 eternally existing in three Persons2 - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one in nature, essence, and being; the Father being of none, and thereby unbegotten , the Son being eternally begotten of the Father before all time, and the Holy Spirit eternally proceeding from the Father through the Son.3

Holy Scriptures - We believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of the Bible. The Bible is in the truest sense the very Word of God; given by the inspiration of God1, without error, authoritative, and all sufficient2, being the supreme and final word in all matters of faith and practice.3

Incarnation of the Son - We believe in the incarnation of the eternal Son of God by which he became the Man, Jesus Christ1 our Lord2. He lived a life of sinless obedience to the will of His Father, being sinlessly begotten of the Holy Spirit3 and born of the virgin Mary4 - very God, yet truly Man.5

Atoning Death of Christ - We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ died a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins upon the cross1. This sacrifice met the requirements of God’s Holiness2through the shedding of his precious blood. His precious blood, that cleanses us from all sin, made it possible for God to be just, and yet justify all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.3

Resurrection of Christ - We believe in the bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the grave, and that He is alive today, having ascended to the right hand of God on High. Of this, he gave Indisputable evidence, appearing unto many over a period of forty days1. Then He, in the presence of credible witnesses, ascended up to heaven2where he is now enthroned at the Father's right hand.3

Salvation by Grace - We believe we cannot be saved or reach God through our own merit or good works1. We believe we must repent of our sinfulness by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ as the One who died upon the cross for our sins, and as the One who was buried and then rose from the dead on the third day.2 Because of His merit, His death, burial and resurrection, He now grants salvation by grace to everyone who puts their trust in Him.3
1) Rom. 3:10-12, 23; Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; 2) Lu. 24:47; Jn. 1:12; 3:16, 36; Acts 16:31; 17:30; 20:21; 26:16-17,20; Rom. 10:8-9, 13; I Cor. 15: 1-4. 3) John 3:16; Ro. 3: 22-24; Eph. 2: 8-9
Unity of the Church - We believe that there is but one true Church, which is the Body of Christ, composed of all true believers who have lived from the Day of Pentecost1 until the coming of Christ for his Church2. We believe that the local church should be an expression of that true Church, and that the only qualification for membership in the local church is membership in that Church3. We welcome all those who have been born again. We believe Jesus Christ is the Head of the church4 and that devotion to Him results in a new, and righteous way of living in the life of the believer distinguishing him from those who do not take the name of Christ5.
However, separation from other godly believers is foreign to the Bible. Jesus prayed "...that all may be one...so that the world may believe."6

Priesthood of All Believers - We believe in no distinction between clergy and laity. We believe elders are appointed by God to be examples to the flock, but priesthood does not belong solely to them but is the common possession of every believer.1 As such, each believer is encouraged to identify with Jesus Christ through baptism and to stir up and humbly exercise their spiritual gifts and priesthood. Men are encouraged to publicly pray, offer up sacrifices of praise, and share from God’s Word.2

Christ’s Second Coming - We believe in the pre-millennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ for His Bride - the Church. We believe He will set up His kingdom and rule and reign for a thousand years, after which time He will create a new heaven and new earth in which righteousness will dwell forever and ever.1
